The devil lives in the form of plastic - 120 billion units of which are produced worldwide annually. The beauty industry is one of the biggest culprits, whereby each person throws an average of 16 plastic cosmetic packages away over the space of one year. All of this ends up in a waste landfill, polluting the Earth. Plastic is the polar opposite of ‘biodegradable,’ with an average lifespan of 1000 years. That’s plenty of time to pollute the ocean, kill wildlife, poison the natural food chain, compromise human health…it’s a vicious cycle that needs to end. By developing products and packaging that are reusable, recyclable, and biodegradable, we can reduce waste and create a better world for future generations.
We all need to face reality - poor nutrition is the culprit behind nearly half of deaths in children under the age of five. This kills over 3 million kids annually. In a world where one in every six children is underweight, something has to be done. For just a dollar a daily, you can feed one child a day in a developing country.
